Bio
Natalia Szkraba (b. 1988, Salihorsk, Belarus) lives and works in Warsaw. She is a visual artist working across painting, drawing, ceramics, and artist’s books.
In 2011, she graduated in painting from the State Art College in Homyel. From 2011 to 2017, she studied Monumental and Decorative Art at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, earning a Bachelor’s degree. In 2015, she completed a course in icon painting at the St. Elisabeth Convent.
From 2022 to 2024, she studied Graphic Arts at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, where she earned a Master’s degree. Her practice combines her experience in painting and graphic arts with an interest in form, material, and signs.
Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Poland, Belarus, and abroad, including in Poznań, Minsk, Grodno, Salihorsk, and Skopje. She has participated in the Osten Biennial of Drawing in Skopje, Art Minsk, and the Autumn Salon in Minsk.
In 2021, she received the Gaude Polonia scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. In 2024, she was a laureate of the Maria Dokowicz Competition.
