Bio
Katja Lisitina was born in Minsk in 1984. In 2008 she received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from the Belarusian State University. From 2011 to 2018 she was a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers.
Since 2010 she has taken part in creative projects including the Triennial of Contemporary Art and the Heart for Art festival in Minsk, and Lviv Lumines (Ukraine). She has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. She has also created stage design and installations for music festivals such as Chillout Planet (Russia), Fine Misto Art Music Festival (Ukraine) and Organic Music Festival (Poland), and set design for theatre and film in Saint Petersburg.
Throughout her career she has refined her craft in string art objects. In 2022 she left Belarus for Georgia and then moved to Poland. In 2025 she and her husband opened UV galeria in Warsaw, a gallery dedicated to ultraviolet art, where she continues her artistic practice.
