Bio
Elina Pyrohova is an illustrator and graphic designer. She holds a Master’s degree in New Media Art from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw.
In her work, she builds a dialogue between Ukrainian and Polish cultures, drawing inspiration from folklore, literature, typography, and personal stories. Through illustration, she explores themes of identity, memory, and relationships between cultures.
She is a member of the Society of Polish Illustrators, and a recipient of a Type Directors Club (TDC) scholarship in New York (2022). Her illustrations and comics have been published in Pismo. Magazyn Opinii (2022–present). In 2022, she completed an internship at Civic City studio in Paris, where she co-created Poetry on Fabric, a typographic urban installation combining text, poetry, and experiences of migration. She has also collaborated with the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow, creating animations for the exhibition Batikara: Fantastyczna Józefa Kogut (2025).
